In celebration of Black History Month, The Bar at Hotel Zachary is partnering with Brown & Balanced + Hennessy to host a bar takeover, featuring local emerging black guest bartenders, specially curated cocktails, a Hennessy XO Sensory experience in the Terrace Globes and DJ BG spinning. All creatives at this event are local minority professionals, coming together to celebrate and showcase culture, heritage, and history. Ticket price includes your choice of a welcome cocktail, specially made by our Brown & Balanced guests and event access. Reservations for the Hennessy XO Sensory Experience are available separately. 20% proceeds from this event will be donated to Brown & Balanced nonprofit organization.

Brown & Balanced is a community organization that celebrates and showcases Black bar and hospitality professionals through events that feature thoughtful cocktails, cuisine and music. Additionally, Brown & Balanced also raises money to support charities focused on lifting up Black and Brown communities in cities where these events are held. Brown & Balanced has raised thousands of dollars for organizations from Black Girls Code to the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage.

DJ BG is a Scratch Academy ALUM hailing from the Southside of Chicago. She combines her love for music, energetic personality, and extensive catalog to fuel memorable vibes. Catch DJ BG on WGCI’s Midday Rewind Every weekday at 12pm as she takes it back to the 90’s and early 2000’s.
