WHEN: Friday, January 18 from 6-9 PM
WHERE: Tinker To Evers, 3473 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60657

WHAT: Guests are invited to spend a special evening with the author of the Chicago Cubs-centric book, “Tinker To Evers To Chance: The Chicago Cubs and the Dawn of Modern America”. The non-fiction book was influenced by the same poem that was also the inspiration for the name of the upscale craft cocktail lounge in Wrigleyville, Tinker To Evers. The book and Rapp are also the recipient of this year’s Chicago Writers Association Nonfiction Book of The Year award. Attendees for the evening will have the chance to meet and chat with Rapp, as well as purchase his book ($27.50) and have it signed.

Drinks will be available for purchase as Rapp takes a step behind for part of the night to show off his bartending skills, crafting cocktails like The Ol’ 6-4-3, a pear-infused interoperation of an Old Fashioned and the Hotsy Totsy, an elevated take on a spicy margarita. Snack on delicious hosted bites with purchase of a drink of Union Full Board’s famous Detroit-style pizza, like theDetroit Michoancan with spicy chorizo, pineapple, red onion and jalapeño crema and The Godfather, with crispy bacon, pepperoni and sausage, both topped with a piping hot tomato sauce.

COST: This event is free and open to the public.
