Thanks to Metro and all of the eateries around Gallagher Way, they are throwing you the first annual 1060 Block Party on August 17 – 18. The weekend’s music lineup is as diverse and eclectic as our city. Rock and roll duo Black Pistol Fire will bring the heat on Saturday night with support from Chicago’s own Local H and Touched by Ghoul, while Sunday’s docket features the big-band musings of Antibalas, plus sets from Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Foxing and Now, Now. On top of a killer music lineup, Gallagher Way restaurants will feature special menu items available in the park throughout the weekend. From moroccan spiced chicken kabobs and grilled polish sausages, to BBQ baby back ribs and al pastor tacos and more, this is a fest you will want to come hungry to.
