Batter Up! It’s time for Chicago Cubs baseball. Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The Home team takes on the Milwaukee Brewers this Friday, July 24th at Wrigley Field. You can view the rest of the season’s schedule here. And though the field isn’t open up to fans, there’s still ways to safely support your local team.
Wrigley Field is surrounded by the beloved Wrigleyville – complete with Cubbie lovin’ neighborhood restaurants and retail shops. Currently, restaurants can operate at 25% indoor capacity with social distancing and face covering guidelines in place. They can also open outdoors, with many of them able to put their big patios and rooftops to good use. Looking for the perfect place to safely dine and drink with friends? We made a comprehensive list of the places you can dine outdoors here.
Though not all places are open for outdoor dining, you can still dine indoors! Due to the capacity limits, we recommend calling the establishment you’d like to visit ahead of time to see if you would be able to make a reservation for indoor seating. Here is a list of Wrigleyville restaurants. Most, if not all, local places will have this season’s games playing on their TVs – so it’s a great way to support local businesses and your team.
Need to see the Cubs play IRL? One way that you CAN see the action up close is to watch from one of the Wrigleyville Rooftops! There are 11 unique rooftops surrounding the field, but keep in mind – they’re selling out fast! If you’re interested in buying tickets, you can visit this link. Rooftops are to follow all social distancing guidelines, so you and your loved ones can feel safe knowing that you can still enjoy your team and have fun outside of the confines of your living room!
Lastly – don’t forget to show your Cubs pride. Clark Street Sports and Wrigleyville Sports are the local go-tos for local Wrigleyville gear.
See you in Wrigleyville!
