Weekend Happenings March 18 – 20th

The sun is setting after 6 pm, patio season is right around the corner, and Chicagoans are ready to say “see ya later” to winter. This Sunday is officially the first day of spring! We have gathered a list of some of the best happenings in Wrigleyville and Lakeview East this weekend.
Get Charm’d at Deuce’s all Weeklong Long
St. Patrick’s Day may have been Thursday, but Deuce’s MLB Bar (3505 N Clark St) is celebrating all week long. Our Clark Street home base for baseball games has temporarily transformed into a leprechaun’s playpen, with floor to ceiling decorations and limited edition drinks. Try the Irish Maid cocktail with Jameson, Black Barrel, Cucumber, St. Germain, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Feeling like celebrating with Baileys? The Bailey’s Mint Martini is topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. No matter what you get, you’ll be sure to feel the luck in the air at Charm’d.

Catch a live Country show at Old Crow Friday and Saturday
Whiskyfist has been performing live since forming in 2014. It’s been a while since they performed at Old Crow Smokehouse (3506 N. Clark St), so come give them a good ol’ Chicago Welcome Back! “These boys perform a diverse mix of today’s and yesterday’s hottest country hits, along with your Southern and Classic Rock favorites.” Come get down with a fist pumpin good time with Whiskyfist.
They will be performing both Friday and Saturday night from 10:30 pm – 2:00 am.

Legendary Children Drag Show on Saturday at Charlie’s
Let’s get LEGENDARY darling!
Charlie’s Chicago (3726 N. Broadway) is introducing Legendary Children, a showcase of Chicago’s incredible up-and-coming superstars! This Saturday, March 19th is the premiere but the show will go on every 2nd and 4th Saturday every month. The fabulous lineup of hosts includes Rachel Slurrz Stoole, Kitty Banks, Omani Cross Diamond, and Nena Dee Diamond. Night owls will feel right at home at Charlie’s, open until 5 am on Saturdays.

Join the Madness at Country Club
March Madness is in full effect! Country Club (3462 N. Clark St) is hosting slam dunk specials every game day. Get in on the excitement! Fans can watch the game and enjoy $15 Miller or Coors Light buckets, $18 Corona Buckets, $6 Altos Tequila Shots, and $6 Jameson drinks. If you get the munchies, help yourself to a BBQ pulled pork sandwich or some Nashville hot shrimp. It would be absolutely mad of you to miss out on this March Madness event!

Catch a DJ Set at HVAC Pub Friday Night
You can always count on some live music at this Wrigley venue. HVAC Pub (3530 N. Clark St) will have JakeShoreDrive performing from 10 pm – 1:00 am on Friday night. “Jake Shore Drive embodies an electric energy that captivates, entertains, and gathers music lovers on and off the dance floor. His music production is a blend of vivacious, body-rocking, bass line-driven, wavy house grooves.” Get there early in time to share a pizza pie before spending the next few hours dancing away to the original music stylings of JakeShoreDrive.

Get the funnies out at the Laugh Factory
The Laugh Factory (3175 Broadway St) has shows 7 nights a week, but the weekends are always stacked.
Friday at 11:30 pm, catch the Sex and Chi City, a stand up comedy showcase with a sexy twist.

Saturday at 11:30 pm, will be The Nasty Show, “Forget about cute puns and adorable observations and strap in for a night of in-your-face, no-holds-barred comedy! We compiled the best comics in Chicago, removed their leashes and let them loose…just for you. It may get dark. It may get dirty. It may make you question what’s appropriate to laugh at in public. And it absolutely will be a night you will never forget…whether you like it or not!”
Kick it at Rizzo’s on Saturday
Can Chicago Kick It? is a tribute day party that pays homage to music from the 90’s//Early 2000’s. Taking place at Rizzo’s Bar and Inn (3658 N. Clark St) from 3pm – 8pm. This day party will be loaded with throwbacks, and good times! The line up consists of Slot-A, DJ Mile High, and DJ Cash Era. See you on the dance floor!
